In an original curriculum created by Mr. Scott entitled Builders of the New World, the children are inspired to make choices today in order to achieve educational and professional success tomorrow. The children learn writing, reading and creative techniques in a safe and inclusive environment that introduces diversity and combats ignorance and racism. The children are supported to make choices that will prepare them to take their place as the bridge to the future. The Builders of the New World program culminates in an uplifting performance in which the children share their visions for a positive community of the future with their family, friends, and business and government leaders.
As a member of the BNW program, you will have the opportunity to help administer key aspects of the program and to serve as an assistant teacher under Mr. Scott's guidance. Most important, you will recognize a journey in each child that mirrors the process you are experiencing in the Creative Expression and Community Service Training Program - - the process of unlocking and expressing the powerful potential in each human being.
