As the holiday season approaches, we are incredibly excited for our annual Builders of the New World Holiday Party at the Actors Theatre Workshop! In response to a huge demand, this year we will host a celebration for over 40 children from three different temporary housing facilities in the greater NYC area.
Being displaced by homelessness does not always allow these children the opportunity to have a traditional family gathering. Our annual Holiday Celebration is an opportunity for these children to enjoy a delicious meal, open gifts, attend a creative class led by ATW’s Artistic Director and Founder Thurman E. Scott, and, ultimately, reconnect themselves with the dream and essence of the Holiday Season.
